PORTO! IPforBusiness Training in October 2018

The European IP Helpdesk is a service funded by the European Commission that provides free-of-charge, first-line advice and information on Intellectual Property (IP). One of its initiatives, the IPforBusiness roadshow, had a stop just next door to CIBIO, at the INESC-TEC facilities, on October 9th, 2018.

During the event Sandra Aresta, EnvMetaGen Knowledge Transfer and Dissemination Officer, learned about the IP strategy of an Irish company, and the evolution that the IP landscape might suffer due to the Unitary Patent in Europe. It was also the occasion to network with her counterparts from other institutions in Porto. These contacts are very important to troubleshoot any challenges that might be encountered while treating our own KT cases, and to establish future partnerships.

It was overall a very rich event, with an interesting program, and a great opportunity that we hope will be renewed soon!
