A Coruña DNA metabarcoding workshop

Last month, four of our team members attended the DNA metabarcoding workshop that took place in A Coruña, Spain, on the 27th and 28th of June 2018.

This was an amazing opportunity for Bastian Egeter, Rebecca Mateus, Daniel Oliveira and Guilherme Pereira to learn more examples on the use of DNA metabarcoding and attend several talks covering multiple technical aspects of this approach, as well as to briefly visit this city of Galicia.

This event is an excellent example of our actions in Capacity Building for InBIO, as it allowed three students affiliated to the EnvMetaGen project to get exposure to other metabarcoding studies, while being an excellent opportunity to to exchange ideas and discuss lines of research and possible collaborations with researchers from Spain.
