Agrivole Project kick-off meeting

AGRIVOLE is a 3-year research project, with national funding obtained by Joana Paupério, post-doc in the EnvMetaGen team. The 1st meeting of all project partners took place in Octobre 3-5, 2018 at CIBIO-InBIO.

This was a really nice event! As you can see in the photos, we had presentations of previous work, several brainstorming sessions, and even some pleasant moments by the pool at Vairão headquarters. A great way to initiate a promising project that will bring light into the responses of vole communities to agroecosystem structure and agricultural practices, by combining ecological tools and high throughput DNA sequencing techniques, and the results are expected to contribute significantly to foster sustainable agricultural techniques linking pest management to biodiversity conservation, areas that are covered by EnvMetaGen goals.
