14th European Bat Research Symposium

Vanessa Mata participated to the 14th European Bat Research Symposium that took place in Donostia, Spain, from 1^st – 5^th August 2017. The conference takes place every three years, making this a almost unique opportunity to present some results obtained during her PhD thesis.

Vanessa gave a talk during the session dedicated to dietary ecology of bats. Her presentation received very positive feedback and won the 1^st prize for best oral communication. Two posters with results from other projects where Vanessa is participating were also presented during the Symposium.

This was also a great opportunity to network with different experts in the area and engage into new collaborations, in particular with the group of Joxerra Aihartza from the University of the Basque Country. A member of his team will come to CIBIO in January for a 3 months stay in order to analyze data from her PhD thesis project.
