Seminário Metagenómica in Cantanhede, Portugal

This one-day conference, held on June 6th 2017,  was a meeting of Portuguese and International groups using Environmental Metagenomics for a number of applications. The meeting also including presentations from Illumina representatives. The meeting consisted of 14 oral presentations, all of which pertained to MiSeq and HiSeq Illumina next-generation sequencing and its application to a diverse array of samples, e.g. marine sediments, cork oak forests, vineyard microbiomes and the relatively new field of constructed bio-tagged packaging for supply chains.

Bastian Egeter, Joana Veríssimo & Pamela Puppo attended the meeting and made new contacts through extensive networking activities and conversation.
